『The Temple of the King: 1975-1976』は、2026年3月27日にEdsel Recordsから発売された9枚組のボックスセットである。品番EDSL0278。RAINBOWの最初の2年間、つまりリッチー・ブラックモアがディープ・パープルを離れてバンドを立ち上げてから、2作目を出して初のワールド・ツアーを回るまでを一括りにした企画になっている。
CD1は1975年のデビュー作『Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow』。ロニー・ジェイムズ・ディオが歌い、演奏はエルフのメンバーが担った1枚で、ミュンヘンのミュージックランド・スタジオで1975年2月20日から3月14日にかけて録音されている。CD2は1976年の『Rising』で、こちらは同じスタジオながらコージー・パウエルとジミー・ベインを迎えた新編成による。全6曲、後半2曲が8分を超える構成である。
CD3からCD8までが、1976年9月のドイツ公演3日ぶんだ。25日のケルン、27日のデュッセルドルフ、28日のニュルンベルクを、それぞれ2枚組でほぼ完全に収めている。この時期の音源は2枚組ライヴ盤『On Stage』に編集された形で知られてきたが、公演単位でまとまって国外に出るのは本作が初めてだとレーベルは述べている。「Mistreated」が15分前後、「Stargazer」が15〜17分と、1曲あたりの長さは同じ曲でも夜ごとに違う。CD8の後半には、ワールド・ツアーに向けたスタジオ・リハーサルが4曲収められている。
CD9はレア音源で、シングル用のモノ／ステレオ編集、『Rising』全6曲のラフ・ミックス、そして「The Temple of the King」のボリビア盤モノ・ミックスといった、初CD化の音源が並ぶ。全体はアンディ・ピアースとマット・ワーサムが新たにマスタリングし、7インチ角の箱に24ページのブックレットが付く。
