五臓 -GOZO-

『五臓 -GOZO-』は、4人編成としてのNEMOPHILAが、バンドの内側から生まれる衝動を五つの“臓器”に見立てて提示したEPである。外部の作家性に寄りかからず、メンバー自身の言葉、リフ、リズムを前面へ出したことで、音像は以前よりも生々しく、ステージ上の呼吸へ近づいた。葉月のギターは低くうねるリフと鋭いフレーズを行き来し、ハラグチサンのベースとむらたたむのドラムが、単なる速さではない重量感を作る。mayuの歌は叫び、ラップ的な切り込み、伸びやかな旋律を自在に切り替え、4人の現在地を鮮明にする。 “開花宣言”は新章の始まりを高らかに告げ、“VS EGO:”は自己との対峙をタイトなグルーヴへ変換する。“Oblivious”の陰影、“namas”の異物感、“PUMP IT UP!”のライヴ映えする開放感まで、5曲は短いながら起伏に富む。過去のツイン・ギター時代を否定するのではなく、その経験を4人の身体へ再配置した作品であり、NEMOPHILAが変化を危機ではなく創造の燃料に変えたことを示す。とりわけ、演奏の隙間や声の距離感まで含めて4人の個性が見えやすく、短編ながら次作へ向かう設計図としても機能している。

GOZO presents the four-piece NEMOPHILA as a band creating from its own physical center. The five songs feel like different organs of one body: each has a separate function, but all depend on the same pulse. With the members taking direct ownership of the writing and arrangement, the sound is rawer and closer to the breathing space of a live performance. Hazuki moves between low, twisting riffs and precise melodic cuts, while Haraguchi-san and Tamu Murata create weight through groove rather than speed alone. Mayu shifts from screams and rhythmic phrasing to open melodic lines, giving the renewed line-up a clear emotional identity. “Kaika Sengen” announces a new chapter with confidence, and “VS EGO:” turns inner conflict into a tightly controlled attack. “Oblivious” adds shadow, “namas” introduces an intentionally strange texture, and “PUMP IT UP!” ends with the release of a song built for the stage. The EP does not erase the band’s twin-guitar history; it redistributes that experience across four musicians and uses limitation as a source of invention. GOZO is compact, but it makes a decisive statement about NEMOPHILA’s ability to transform change into momentum.
