『Second To None』は、Lonesome_Blueが2022年に発表した初のフル・アルバムで、ラウド・ロック、メタル、プログレの感触を、強いメロディへ結び付けた10曲入りの作品だ。冒頭の“Face The Fear”は鋭いリフと前へ出るヴォーカルで幕を開け、“Body Rock”“It’s My Time!”では推進力と明快なフックがバンドの核を示す。“Blue Like Sapphire (The Flower Of Hope)”や“Aurora”では、音数を重ねるだけではない空間の作り方が、叙情的な旋律を鮮明に浮かび上がらせる。 楽曲は速さや技巧を見せ場だけで完結させず、歌メロ、コーラス、ギター、鍵盤、リズム隊が場面ごとに役割を受け渡すことでドラマを生む。“Mine”の内向的な温度から“Blind In The Chaos”の緊張感、そして“Rising Up For Gloria”へ向かう後半には、各曲の個性を保ちながらアルバムとして着地させる設計がある。Steve Jacobsをプロデューサーに迎えたサウンドは、重さと輪郭の明瞭さを両立。初聴では大きなサビと疾走感が印象に残り、聴き返すほどアレンジの細部が曲の感情を支えていることに気付かされる。Lonesome_Blueの多様性と演奏力を、楽曲の説得力として示した鮮烈なデビュー・ステートメントである。

Second To None is Lonesome_Blue’s first full-length album, released in 2022.
