The faster the song, the more the precision of the playing stands out, but the melody is always open to the listener. Themed on a journey, it is a dramatic record. On “Crossroads,” “There Is a Way” and “Mother Earth,” the sense of journey the title suggests is reflected in the dramatic track order and varied tempos.
