『Street Poetry』は、華やかなグラム感と生々しいロックンロールを結び、HANOI ROCKSが街の熱気を刻んだ最終スタジオ作だ。前作で加わったコニー・ブルームとアンディ・クリステルを含む布陣が固まり、より一体感のあるサウンドを聴かせている。実験色の強かった前作から、初期を思わせるストレートなロックンロールへと回帰した一枚でもある。モンロー、マッコイ、ブルーム、クリステル、ラクという五人が、バンドとして最も一体感のある演奏を聴かせている。往年のHANOI ROCKSらしい、直球のグラム・ロックンロールが全編を貫く。 “Fashion”“Street Poetry”“Highwired”といった、キャッチーで勢いのある楽曲が並ぶ。シングルとなった“Fashion”は、スウェーデンのテレビ番組でも披露された。バンド本来の魅力を凝縮した充実作だが、これがHANOI ROCKSの最後のスタジオ・アルバムとなった。2009年、彼らはヘルシンキでの連続公演をもって、その歴史に幕を下ろした。その最後の公演は、ヘルシンキのタヴァスティア・クラブでの8日間のソールドアウト公演であり、オリジナル・ギタリストのナスティ・スーサイドもゲストとして姿を見せた。

Street Poetry is Hanoi Rocks' final studio album, on which they carved the heat of the streets by tying flamboyant glam to raw rock'n'roll. The lineup, including Conny Bloom and Andy Christell who had joined on the previous album, solidified, delivering a more unified sound. It is also a record that returned to straight rock'n'roll reminiscent of the early days, from the strongly experimental previous album. The five members — Monroe, McCoy, Bloom, Christell and Lacu — deliver their most unified playing as a band. Straight-ahead glam rock'n'roll in classic Hanoi Rocks style runs throughout. Catchy, spirited songs like "Fashion," "Street Poetry" and "Highwired" line up. The single "Fashion" was even performed on a Swedish TV show. An accomplished work concentrating the band's original appeal, it became Hanoi Rocks' last studio album. In 2009, with a run of concerts in Helsinki, they brought their history to a close. Those final shows were eight sold-out gigs at the Tavastia Club in Helsinki, where original guitarist Nasty Suicide also appeared as a guest.
