Wonderland

『Wonderland』は、CROWNEが2025年8月22日にフロンティアーズから発表した第3作だ。編成は前作から動いていない。アレクサンダー・ストランデル、ラヴ・マグヌッソン、ヨナ・ティー、ジョン・レヴィン、クリスチャン・ルンドクヴィスト。ストランデルは発表に際し、ヨナ、キッケン、ジョン、ラヴという兄弟たちと組めたのは名誉だ、アート・ネイション、ザ・プードルズ、H.E.A.T.、ダイナスティ、EUROPEのファンなら、これは君のための一枚だ、と語っている。曲を書く中心は変わらずヨナ・ティーである。 全11曲・約37分。前二作より短く、無駄がない。疾走する表題曲が幕を開ける。「我々対奴ら」とでも言うべき歌詞を映画的な大仰さで押し出す曲だ。先行シングルとヴィデオは“Waiting For You”が務めた。“Eye Of The Oracle”の大仰さ、“Heaven Tonight”の明るさ、そしてデビュー作を思わせる題名を持つ“Warlords Of The North”まで、曲はどれもフックを中心に整理されている。ヨナ・ティーの書く曲と、ストランデルの歌。この二つさえ揃えば成立することを、三枚目にして静かに確認するような一枚だ。

Wonderland is the third album, released by Frontiers on 22 August 2025. The line-up has not moved since the last one: Alexander Strandell, Love Magnusson, Jona Tee, John Levén, Christian Lundqvist. Announcing it, Strandell said it was an honour to work alongside his brothers Jona, Kicken, John and Love, and that if you are a fan of Art Nation, The Poodles, H.E.A.T., Dynazty or Europe, this one is for you. The writing still centres on Jona Tee. Eleven tracks run about thirty-seven minutes — shorter than either predecessor, with nothing wasted. The galloping title track opens — a piece that pushes an us-against-them lyric with cinematic bravado. “Waiting For You” took the lead single and video. Through the grandeur of “Eye Of The Oracle,” the brightness of “Heaven Tonight,” and “Warlords Of The North,” whose title looks back at the debut, every song is organised around its hook. Jona Tee's writing and Strandell's voice: a third album that quietly confirms those two things are all this band needs.
