Just Bring It sharply defines BAND-MAID as a serious hard-rock band. “Don’t you tell ME,” “Puzzle” and “YOLO” bring together cutting guitars, bouncing rhythm and strong vocal hooks, letting the band’s early strengths bloom with confidence. Its persuasiveness for listeners at home and abroad rose sharply here. Japanese-language, lyrical songs such as “Moratorium” and “TIME” sit next to momentum-driven, hook-forward tracks like “CROSS,” “OOPARTS” and “Take me higher!!,” so tempo and mood change richly from song to song. Through “So,What?,” “decided by myself” and “secret My lips,” a real sense of construction keeps the album from relying on speed alone.
