Blood Dynasty is a 2025 record on which ARCH ENEMY refined the aggression of melodic death metal and dramatic melody akin to traditional metal. The twin guitars cut coldly, and the rhythm pushes the songs forward with machine precision. Alissa White-Gluz’s fierce roar stands at the center of the sound, giving the songs a sharp tension by its contrast with the guitars’ lyricism. On “Dream Stealer,” “Illuminate The Path,” “A Million Suns” and “Blood Dynasty,” the distribution of speed, weight and stately development is clear, and the whole album keeps a steel-like control.
