Cherry Pie is the second album on which WARRANT, holding both straightforward hooks and the pathos of ballads, strongly showed mass appeal. Jani Lane’s songwriting is at its sharpest, with strong hooks in all of the riffs, singing and arrangement. It is a monumental mega-hit that pushed the band into stardom at a stroke.
