LINER NOTES
LANGUAGE
This self-titled album came out on 4 March 2003 on Chophouse Records, Jason Newsted's own label, with Victor Entertainment issuing the Japanese edition on 11 June as VICP-62351.
It was recorded between 13 October and 26 November 2002. Snake, who had been away since The Outer Limits in 1993, is back on vocals, and Newsted, only just out of Metallica, plays bass as "Jasonic" for the first time. It is also the last album Piggy saw through to completion.
The band produced it with Brian Joseph Dobbs, and George Marino mastered it at Sterling Sound in New York. Away drew the sleeve.
Thirteen songs run to sixty-five minutes. The video for the closing "We Carry On" was in heavy rotation on MTV2's Headbangers Ball and Fuse TV's Uranium, and the record brought the band to a younger audience. They played the second stage of Ozzfest that year, with Newsted playing bass for both Voivod and the headliner, Ozzy Osbourne. A Spotify entity exists for this album and it does not play in this territory, so this page shows the sleeve instead of a player.
