LINER NOTES

Seven Deadly is the studio album UFO released in 2012. The Japanese edition came first, issued by Marquee/Avalon on 22 February 2012, and SPV/Steamhammer followed in Germany on 24 February, in the rest of Europe on 27 February and in the United States and Canada on 28 February. As with The Visitor, the band recorded at Tommy Newton's Area 51 studio in Celle, Germany, and Newton produced the album. The band's own biography of November 2011 names four members: singer Phil Mogg, drummer Andy Parker, Paul Raymond on keyboards and guitar, and guitarist Vinnie Moore. Lars Lehmann played bass as a guest.
The credits give every song to Mogg with either Moore, on seven of the ten, or Raymond, on "Fight Night", "Year of the Gun" and "The Fear". The press release picked out "Burn Your House Down" as a song with all of the band's strengths, "Wonderland" for its nod to UFO's early days, "Angel Station" for its epic touches and "Fight Night" as a song made for the stage. Ahead of the release, in January 2012, Eddie Trunk gave "Mojo Town" its first airing on his show on Q104.3 in New York, and Guitar World streamed "Fight Night".
The album has ten songs, from "Fight Night" to "Waving Good Bye". It came out as a limited digipak with two bonus tracks, "Other Men's Wives" and "Bag O' Blues", as a double gatefold LP on coloured vinyl with printed inner sleeves, as a standard CD and as a download, and the Japanese CD carries the same two bonus tracks. Seven Deadly spent a week on the UK Official Albums Chart at 63 but entered the UK Rock & Metal Albums Chart at number one and stayed on that chart for three weeks; it also reached 9 on the UK Independent Albums Chart and 55 in Germany. The American bassist Rob De Luca joined the band in 2012.
