Supershitty to the Max!

The debut was recorded at Sunlight Studios in Stockholm and produced by Tomas Skogsberg. The whole record was played live and the sessions took twenty-six hours. The band's first rehearsal was on 4 November 1994 and was no more than a jam. Two rehearsals later they put out their first single, "Killing Allan", in January 1995 on their own label Psychout Records; after a second single, "1995", White Jazz signed them and this album followed. The name came from a magazine article Andersson and Dregen found in San Francisco while on tour with Entombed. It was about the CIA watching Mexican marijuana fields from the air, and about what the Mexicans called those helicopters. The line-up is Nicke Hellacopter on lead vocals, guitar and maracas, Ask-Dregen on guitar, backing vocals and tambourine, Kenny Hellacopter on bass and backing vocals and Robert Hellacopter on drums, backing vocals and maracas, with Boba Fett on piano, Hans Ostlund playing lead guitar on one track and Nick Vahlberg singing on another. The album won the band a Swedish Grammis and reached number thirty-nine at home. In 2016, on its twentieth anniversary, the original line-up reassembled to play it at the Sweden Rock Festival. The album has an entry on Spotify today but not one of its tracks will play, so this page leads with the sleeve rather than a player (checked 29 September 2026). The first pressing was the fourteen-track LP of 1 June 1996; the thirteen-track CD followed on 14 June. The running order here is that CD's as printed.
