Stabbing the Drama

LINER NOTES
LANGUAGE
Stabbing the Drama is a work on which SOILWORK layered low chugging riffs, electronic textures and the varied singing of Björn “Speed” Strid. Quickly switching between fierce parts and clean melody, it creates a strong hook in each song. It is a record on which the band’s modern side came to fruition in a more refined form. On “Stabbing The Drama,” “One With The Flies,” “Nerve” and “Distance,” the choruses have a clear outline even while keeping weight, and a modern sense comes to the front. Songs like “The Crestfallen” and “Blind Eye Halo” breathe the band’s full melodic sense too. Aggression and catchiness balance ideally, and SOILWORK greatly widened the entrance of melodic death — a full record, an important work supported by many fans.
