Figure Number Five

LINER NOTES
LANGUAGE
Figure Number Five is a work on which SOILWORK strongly bound aggression and hooks, using high-speed guitar, tight rhythm, rough singing and clean melody. The songs are mechanically precise, yet in the choruses the release of emotion widens greatly. It is a record that further refined the direction established on the previous album. On “Rejection Role,” “Overload,” “Light the Torch” and “Departure Plan,” the modern production makes the outline of the playing vivid, drawing out the band’s many sides. Songs like “Figure # 5” and “Cranking the Sirens” breathe a skillful union of aggression and melody too. The contrast between rough vocals and clean singing gives the songs great pull. A catchy, powerful record showing the fullness of Swedish modern metal.
