Masquerade in Blood

Andy Brings, who played guitar on Get What You Deserve, is not on this record; Strahli plays guitar beside Tom Angelripper and drummer Atomic Steif. The music of the twelve original songs is credited to all three, and Angelripper wrote every lyric and is credited with the arrangements. The album was recorded and mixed at RA.SH Studio in Gelsenkirchen in January and February 1995, and Ulli Pösselt, who engineered and mixed it, produced it with Angelripper. Ulf Horbelt mastered it at Digital Mastering Studio in Marl. "Verrecke!" and "Mantelmann" are sung in German. The closing "Let's Break the Law" is an Anti-Nowhere League song written by Nick Culmer and Chris Exall, and the Japanese edition adds a cover of Saxon's "20,000 Feet" as a fourteenth track. Andreas Marschall painted the sleeve from an idea of Angelripper's, and Michael Bussmann took the photographs. The LP came with a double-sided printed inner sleeve carrying the lyrics, and Angelripper also wrote the liner notes. Steamhammer (SPV) released the album in June 1995 on CD, LP and cassette. It entered the German album chart at 88 on 17 July, peaked at 76 on 31 July and spent seven weeks there. The Japanese CD was TECW-25045, and Wax Maniax reissued the album on vinyl in the United States in 2017. By the next album, 'Til Death Do Us Unite in 1997, the line-up around Angelripper had changed again, with Bernemann on guitar and Bobby on drums.
