Aber bitte mit Sahne!

Chris Witchhunter's last record with Sodom was Tapping the Vein, and this EP is the first with Atomic Steif on drums. According to BMG it had two purposes: to present the new drummer, and to give the band new material for the Christmas Metal Meetings tour with Motörhead, Kreator and Entombed at the end of 1993. The band is Tom Angelripper on bass and vocals, Andy Brings on guitar and Atomic Steif. It is also the band's first work with Wolfgang Stach, at the time an unknown producer who went on to success with Guano Apes, Jupiter Jones and BAP, and BMG presents the EP as the trial for the collaboration that went on to make the next album. It was recorded and mixed at T&T Studio and produced by the band with Stach. The title song was composed by Udo Jürgens, with lyrics by Eckart Hachfeld and Wolfgang Spahr. "Sodomized" was the first song the new line-up wrote, and a different recording of it went onto Get What You Deserve; "Skinned Alive '93" is a new recording of the Tapping the Vein song, and "Abuse" does not appear on the album. Steamhammer (SPV) released the EP in 1993 on CD and twelve-inch vinyl. The CD sleeve writes the title with an exclamation mark, as "Aber bitte mit Sahne !", and the twelve-inch came with a large poster. The Japanese edition is TECX-12644. In 2026 the four songs were remastered and remixed for BMG's deluxe reissue of Get What You Deserve, and they also close the Japanese SHM-CD of that album, released by Marquee Inc. on its Avalon label on 24 June 2026, as tracks 17 to 20.
