Forever in Time

Forever in Time is the sixth Praying Mantis studio album, released by Pony Canyon on 17 June 1998 as PCCY-01257. It is the first record with Tony O'Hora singing. Ten songs and about sixty-four minutes — a long record — opening with "Wasted Years" and closing on the title track. The titles reach for scenes ("Valley of the Kings", "The Day the Sun Turned Cold"), and while the twin harmony leads and the layered backing vocals are exactly where they always are, the songs themselves sit in a calmer place than To the Power of Ten did. On 11 November of the same year the band played The Bottom Line in Nagoya, and twenty-eight years later that night was released in Japan as The Bottom Line Nagoya Japan 1998. Seven of its fifteen songs come from this album, which says plainly enough what the band thought of it at the time. Pony Canyon reissued it on 28 August 2013 as PCCY-01976.
