Food for Thought

Food for Thought is a work on which PINK CREAM 69 brought together weighty riffs, clear vocals and memorable choruses. The songs are catchy, yet the guitar has a measured roughness, not losing the band’s hard core. As a second album under the David Readman lineup, the band develops a more confident expression. On “Snap,” “Big Shot,” “Better Days” and “Seasons Change,” refreshing hooks and slightly shadowed melody line up naturally. Songs like “Until I Wake” and “Fly On” breathe the band’s steady playing too. A cover of Queen’s classic “We Will Rock You” is also included, showing a playful spirit. Sounding 1990s melodic hard rock at a high level of completion, it is a rewarding record with steady undulation as an album.
