LINER NOTES
LANGUAGE
Ironbound, the fifteenth album, came out on Nuclear Blast in Europe on 29 January 2010 as NB 2521-2 and on E1 Music in North America on 9 February. At the end of 2009 the band had signed a multi-album deal, with Nuclear Blast for the rest of the world and E1/Koch for North America, and this was its first record. The band produced it at Gear Recording Studio, and Peter Tägtgren of Pain and Hypocrisy mixed it. 2010 was also the twenty-fifth year since the debut, Feel the Fire.
It sold 4,100 copies in its first week in the United States, entering the Billboard 200 at number 192 and the Heatseekers chart at number four; it was the band's first Billboard 200 entry since I Hear Black in 1993. On the cover the band's mascot Chaly, the winged skull, is locked up in a prison. Kevin Custer directed the video for "Bring Me the Night", shot in Brooklyn on 9 January 2010.
King Records issued the Japanese edition (KICP-1461) on 24 February 2010 with the same ten songs. That September the band came to Japan for the first time in six years, for a headline show in Osaka and Thrash Domination 2010 at Club Citta' in Kawasaki. The running order here is the original's as printed.
