LINER NOTES
LANGUAGE
Immortalis, the fourteenth album, came out on Bodog Music in the United States on 9 October 2007 as BM 1006. Germany had it a little earlier, as a limited edition with a DVD of the band's set at Wacken Open Air on 2 August 2007. The band produced it themselves, and Ellsworth described it as another self-produced record from a dark New Jersey studio; it was recorded at Gear Recording Studio and Crystal Studio. The Bodog deal reunited the band with Jon (Jonny) and Marsha Zazula, the former owners of Megaforce Records, who had issued the debut in 1985. "Whoever said you can't go home again?" was Ellsworth's comment. Ron Lipnicki takes over the drums from this album on, and on "Skull and Bones" Randy Blythe of Lamb of God shares the vocals with Ellsworth. The last song carries a "V" in its title: "Overkill V... The Brand". The album sold 2,800 copies in its first week in the United States. The running order here is the original's as printed.
