Theatre of Pain (40th Anniversary)

Theatre of Pain (40th Anniversary) marks forty years since Mötley Crüe's third album, released in 1985. It is the record that carries "Smokin' In The Boys Room" and "Home Sweet Home"; the Japanese release notes say it reached number 6 in the United States and has gone four times platinum there and three times in Canada. The Japanese pressing is an SHM-CD in a card sleeve. After the ten songs come live recordings of "Smokin' In The Boys Room" and "Home Sweet Home" made in Long Beach, which CDJapan lists as bonus tracks of the Japanese edition and of the limited editions abroad. Twelve tracks, about forty-six minutes. BMG issued the newly remastered anniversary CD on 14 November 2025, and Universal Music Japan followed on 14 January 2026 with UICB-15008. A deluxe box set was announced for the anniversary as well: according to the band's channel it puts the remastered album on colour vinyl beside a previously unreleased 1985 Long Beach concert on two LPs, a rare demos LP and a 76-page hardcover book. The band's channel also carries the official "Home Sweet Home" video and an HD remaster of the "Smokin' In The Boys Room" video.
