Glory, Glory, to the World

Glory, Glory, to the World is the mini-album released on 10 March 2021, the first studio work since Electric Pentagram, catalogue VICL-65483, four songs. Like Battle Against Damnation in 2018, it was built as a stand-alone record whose songs would not reappear on a later full-length. It was made in the middle of the pandemic. The Electric Pentagram tour had been cut short, and the RIDE FOR VENGEANCE TOUR set up to answer it, from January 2021, was postponed. Of the four songs that came out of that, the band said the work was hard both mentally and practically, and that the songs which came through the dark ended up full of light and of the idea of rescue — "the most positive power LOVEBITES has ever had". The title is aimed past the difficulty rather than at it. "Glory To The World", "No Time To Hesitate", "Paranoia" and "Dystopia Symphony" stand on the side of breaking out of a closed room. Mikko Karmila mixed and Mika Jussila mastered, as always. Word of the death of Alexi Laiho of Children of Bodom — a band whose records those two had made for years — reached them mid-work. It cost a little time, and the two of them turned in work better than usual.
