Rise to Glory -8118- is the twenty-seventh Loudness album, released simultaneously around the world on 26 January 2018 — through Ward Records in Japan and earMUSIC in the United States and Europe. It was the band's first new American release in twenty-seven years, since On the Prowl in 1991, and their first in Europe in fourteen, since Racing in 2004. The subtitle joins the two years 1981 and 2018. International editions came with the self-cover album Samsara Flight as a bonus disc. Official videos were made for "Soul on Fire" and "I'm Still Alive". The Japanese edition added "Bad Loser" as a bonus track. Shortly after release, drummer Masayuki Suzuki suffered a stroke, and the band toured with Ryuichi Nishida supporting on drums.
