SUNBURST

Sunburst is the twenty-eighth Loudness album, released on 29 December 2021 to mark forty years since the band formed. It is their first double album. It was also the first record issued on Katana Music, the label the band set up in 2013. Disc one opens with "Rising Sun", an instrumental written by Akira Takasaki, and runs through "OEOEO", "Yamato Damashii" and "Nihon no Kokoro"; disc two holds "Tengoku no Tobira" and "HUNGER for MORE" among others. Songs in Japanese and songs in English sit side by side throughout. The limited first pressing added a DVD of the Loudness 40th Anniversary Special Live THANK YOU FOR ALL, filmed at EX Theater Roppongi on 11 December 2020. earMUSIC released the album worldwide on 29 July 2022. Official videos were made for "OEOEO", "Tengoku no Tobira" and "HUNGER for MORE".
