Fourteen

Fourteen gently draws on the warmth and touch of melancholy that Last Autumn’s Dream do so well in Scandinavian melodic rock. Mikael Erlandsson’s warm vocal and smooth, keyboard-colored arrangements create a calm sense of lift. Songs such as “Love Again” and “I Don’t Wanna Wait” care less about spectacle than about melody finding its way into the listener naturally. Faster tracks and ballads alike carry the confident steadiness of long experience. It is a soft, approachable AOR record with the feel of a changing season.
