Waking the Dead

Waking the Dead is the eighth L.A. Guns studio album, released by Spitfire Records in 2002. It is the last one Tracii Guns played on before leaving, and fifteen years passed before the founder was back. Ten songs, about thirty-nine minutes, made barely a year after Man in the Moon, and hard and direct with it. The eighth track, "Hellraisers Ball", stayed in the live set for decades afterwards — it is the fifth song of the 2025 Guild Theatre concert. There was no Japanese edition; the album reached Japan as an import under Spitfire's catalogue number SPITCD192, and The Store For Music reissued it later.
