Man in the Moon

Man in the Moon is the seventh L.A. Guns studio album, released by Spitfire Records on 24 April 2001. Jizzy Pearl had sung on Shrinking Violet before it; here Phil Lewis is back, and it is the first record with Lewis and Tracii Guns together since American Hardcore in 1996. Ten songs, about forty-four minutes, opening with the title track and closing on "Scream". It was taken at the time as the record that pulled the band back from the experiments of the late nineties towards the hard rock it was built on. There was no Japanese edition; the album reached Japan as an import under Spitfire's SPT-15179-2. Several coloured-vinyl anniversary editions have appeared in the 2020s.
