Tales from the Strip

Tales from the Strip is the ninth L.A. Guns studio album, released by Shrapnel Records on 15 August 2005. It is the first full record Phil Lewis and Steve Riley made at the centre of the band after Tracii Guns left in 2002. Fourteen songs, about fifty-eight minutes. As the title says, the memory of the Sunset Strip the band came out of runs underneath the whole thing — "Electric Neon Sunset", "Hollywood's Burning" and "Crazy Motorcycle" say it outright, and the instrumental "Amanecer", Spanish for daybreak, sits near the end. There was no Japanese edition; the album reached Japan as an import, and Irond issued it in Russia the same year under its own number. From 2006 two bands called L.A. Guns were working at once, and that lasted until Lewis and Guns reunited in 2017.
