The Missing Peace

The Missing Peace is the first record Phil Lewis and Tracii Guns made after returning to the same band in 2017. Guns had left in 2002, and from 2006 there was a stretch of years in which two groups called L.A. Guns existed at once; this album closes that long fork, and the title says so. Twelve songs. King Records' Metal Frontier imprint released the Japanese edition on 4 October 2017 as KICP-1858 at ¥2,860 including tax, adding an acoustic version of "Christine" as a Japan-only bonus for thirteen tracks. Frontiers' own channel posted a music video for "The Flood's the Fault of the Rain". In the same month as the release, the band played Loud Park 17 at Saitama Super Arena on 14 and 15 October — their first Japanese show in a long time. Writing about Leopard Skin years later, King Records noted that the band had been releasing records steadily ever since that visit, and the count bears it out: five studio albums in the eight years after this one.
