Hollywood Forever

Hollywood Forever is the tenth L.A. Guns studio album, released on 5 June 2012 through Cleopatra / Deadline. The band at this point was built around Phil Lewis on vocals and Steve Riley on drums; Tracii Guns had been away since 2002, and from 2006 two groups called L.A. Guns had been working side by side. This is the last studio record the Lewis / Riley line made. Fourteen songs, about fifty-five minutes. The title comes from the Hollywood Forever Cemetery in Los Angeles, and the record deals fairly directly in the memory of the city the band came out of. "Requiem (Hollywood Forever)", late in the running order, got a music video from Cleopatra's own channel, and the closing "Araña Negra" — Spanish for black spider — was also issued on its own as a single. There was no Japanese edition; the album reached Japan as an import. Five years later Lewis and Guns were back in the same band, and The Missing Peace followed.
