LINER NOTES
LANGUAGE
Renewal was released on 26 October 1992 by Noise International, recorded at Morrisound Studios in Tampa, Florida, over August and September of that year and produced by Tom Morris with the band. Noise and Victor issued the Japanese edition on 2 December as VICP-5221.
The band call it their first experimental album: industrial elements are brought into the thrash metal foundation, and the songs are built on weight and repetition rather than speed. It feels unlike anything in the three albums before it.
The line-up is Mille Petrozza on vocals and rhythm guitar, Frank Gosdzik on lead guitar, Rob Fioretti on bass and Ventor on drums and programming. It is the last album with Fioretti, a founding member.
Nine songs. The 2018 reissue carries twelve, and that is the master the player on this page runs; the running order here is that of the original, Noise N 0193-2.
