Megalomania

The fourth album, which reached number 17 in Germany and moved them up again from the 50 of its predecessor. "DNA" went out ahead of it on 25 July 2014 with a video from AFM Records; placed first on the record, it became a fixture of the live set. The ten songs widen the previous album's approach rather than change it, setting the outsized choruses of "Maniac Ball" and "Legion of the Legendary" against the shifts of pace in "Fireflies" and "The Final Dance". The title puts the band's own self-image on the sleeve, but the playing is tidier than that suggests, and the sound is plainly built for arenas. King Records released the Japanese edition on 10 September 2014 as KICP-1706, on its Metal Frontier line. It runs to twelve songs with "Golden Cage" and "In the Eye of the Shitstorm" added, a running order that exists only in Japan.
