Girl's Reform Manifest is HANABIE.’s first full album and the point at which the band learned to transform the details of student life and Tokyo live-house experience into a complete musical language. “SUNRISE MISO-SOUP” enlarges an ordinary breakfast image through heavy riffs and a refreshing chorus, demonstrating how naturally domestic humor and metalcore can coexist in this band. The compressed emotion of “Sentimental Heroine,” the destructive impulse of “Bukkowasu!!” and the youthful frustration of “Our 7days war” remain direct even as the arrangements change violently. “Reiwa dating apps generation” observes contemporary romance with wit, while “Invisible wall” gives unseen barriers a heavier rhythmic weight. “We love sweets” connects a playful subject to screams, a memorable chorus and dance energy, becoming an early breakthrough. The gyaru language of “L.C.G (2019mix),” the obsessive loop of “Genkai numa life” and the ambition of “Want to TIE-UP” broaden the record without weakening its identity. The guitars and rhythm section retain the heat and rough edges of the live-house circuit, while electronics and contrasting vocals add an unmistakable color. Nearly every ingredient later described as Harajuku-core is already present: everyday Japanese culture, extreme heaviness, pop instinct, humor and restless structural movement. The album is therefore more than a debut statement; it is the foundation of HANABIE.’s method for making local experience feel large and shareable.
