1000hp is the sixth album, concentrating Godsmack's heavy rock through thick riffs and a straight-ahead groove. Dave Fortman produced again, following the previous album. The title means "1,000 horsepower," and as the name suggests, powerful, drive-filled songs line up. Even after a long career, the band's firm sound and energy have not faded in the slightest.
