Power Plant

Power Plant is a power-metal work on which GAMMA RAY assembled fast twin guitars, clear high tones and grandly expanding choruses. The songs do not leave melody behind even while racing, winning all at once through the strength of their hooks. It is the sixth album, pushing the strengths of the twin-guitar lineup established on the previous album further to the front. On “Anywhere in the Galaxy,” “Send Me a Sign,” “Heavy Metal Universe” and “Wings of Destiny,” the balance of brightness and weight is kept exquisitely. Songs like “Razorblade Sigh,” “Gardens of the Sinner” and “Armageddon” breathe the band’s full playing too. The whole album is run through with forward energy, delivering the pleasure of the power-metal genre straight. Balancing drive and melodic sense at a high level, it is a full record.
