The Studio Albums 1992-2016 brings twelve of DREAM THEATER's studio albums together in one set for the first time, on fourteen CDs. Rhino announced it on 21 October 2025, and Blabbermouth and Tower Records give 21 November as its date. It runs from Images and Words (1992), the band's second album, to The Astonishing (2016), its thirteenth, and the two double albums, Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence and The Astonishing, take two discs each here too.
Rhino's announcement presents Images and Words as the gold-certified breakthrough with the hit "Pull Me Under", Black Clouds & Silver Linings as the last studio album with founding drummer Mike Portnoy, A Dramatic Turn of Events as the start of the Mike Mangini era and the band's first Grammy nomination, for "On the Backs of Angels", and the 2013 album Dream Theater as a top-ten record in more than twenty countries whose "The Enemy Inside" was also nominated. Dream Theater Vol. 3, a ten-LP box of the last four of these albums, was announced alongside it. 136 tracks in all.
