Prophecies

Prophecies is DRAGONLAND's seventh album, with a release date of 23 October 2026 on Scarlet Records. The band signed a multi-album deal with Scarlet Records in 2025 and made the record as the start of "a new chapter in the Dragonland saga"; it is a new album in the band's twenty-seventh year, having formed in Gothenburg in 1999. Production is once again by Fredrik Nordström, renewing a bond that goes back to Studio Fredman on Holy War, and the album was mixed and mastered by him at Studio Fredman. The cover, as on the sixth album, was created by Pedro Sena (AMON AMARTH, KREATOR). The label describes a record that revisits domains DRAGONLAND has traversed in the past while exploring new terrain, mixing epic fantasy stories, ballads and blazingly fast power metal. There are twelve tracks; the closing "Running In The Night" is a cover of FM-84, included as a CD/digital bonus track. The album carries the last contributions of long-time guitarist Olof Mörck. His departure was announced in July 2026, put down to how little time his success with AMARANTHE left him; as a final gift, the band recorded an unreleased song he and Elias Holmlid had written back in 2013, describing it as a lost chapter finally brought to life. With Olof gone, the line-up is Jonas Heidgert (vocals), Jesse Lindskog (guitars), Elias Holmlid (keyboards), Anders Hammer (bass) and Johan Nunez (drums). The first single, "Survival of Mankind", appeared with a music video at the end of July 2026 (Blabbermouth reported it on 1 August), and a second video, "The Prophecy Unfolds", followed at the end of August. Formats are a digipak CD, vinyl LP (limited to 350 marbled blue and 150 transparent blue/yellow splatter) and digital. As of this writing (22 September 2026) no Japanese edition has been confirmed.
