LANGUAGE
The eighth album was released worldwide on 27 September 2019 by earMUSIC and Metal Blade Records, and two days earlier in Japan by Ward Records. Its title is the label the band had long used for their own music.
Damien Rainaud produced, recorded, mixed and mastered it at Mix Unlimited in Los Angeles, and part of the recording went out live on guitarist Herman Li's Twitch channel with fans taking part. Keyboard player Vadim Pruzhanov had left the year before, so the keyboards, piano and orchestration were performed by Coen Janssen of Epica. It is also the last studio album with the band's long-serving bassist Frederic Leclercq.
The first single, "Highway to Oblivion", came out on 30 July 2019 and became a playable level in Harmonix's virtual-reality game Audica. The album runs ten songs and ends with "My Heart Will Go On". The Japanese special edition added a DVD of the band's set at Download Festival in 2018.
