Immortalized

Immortalized is the sixth album, Disturbed's comeback record after a hiatus that began in 2011. During that time, Draiman was active in the industrial metal band Device. Under the production of Kevin Churko, it reconnects the force and emotion of heavy rock around weighty riffs and dramatic singing. It is also the band's only album recorded as a trio, with John Moyer not participating in the sessions and Donegan handling bass as well. "The Vengeful One" and "The Light" marked the return with powerful riffs and hooks. Above all, a cover of Simon & Garfunkel's "The Sound of Silence" became a crossover smash. Draiman's solemn singing drew praise even from the original's writer Paul Simon and was nominated for a Grammy. It debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200, its fifth consecutive chart-topper. A record that vividly showed the momentum of the revival.
