LINER NOTES
LANGUAGE
The CD Collection: Volume Two is the second box in DEF LEPPARD's series of their complete recordings, and it puts the band's 1990s on seven discs. It came out worldwide on 21 June 2019, with the same music also issued as ten 180-gram LPs. The albums are Adrenalize (1992), Retro Active (1993), the band's first compilation, of B-sides and unreleased songs from sessions between 1984 and 1993, Slang (1996) and Euphoria (1999), and Joe Elliott compiled the three discs that follow them, Rarities Vol. 2, Vol. 3 and Vol. 4: eighty-five tracks in all.
The rarities discs hold demos and B-sides, and live recordings from Bonn in 1992, Singapore in 1995, Montreal in 1996, and Denver and Tokyo in 1999. Ronan McHugh remastered the albums at Joe's Garage. The rigid box carries a 40-page hardbound book of Ross Halfin's photographs with introductions from the whole band. This Japanese edition, UICY-78946/52, is the import box with Japanese inserts and strictly limited: all seven discs are SHM-CDs, a format used in Japan only, with notes by Masa Ito, a translation of the English liner notes and the lyrics in translation.
