Liner Notes
Dark Moor is a work on which DARK MOOR, using fast guitar, classical keyboards and thick choruses, drew the flamboyance of symphonic power metal. Even through the change of lineup, elegant melody and dramatic development firmly remain in the songs. After the departure of three members including Elisa Martín, it is a self-titled work made welcoming new vocalist Alfred Romero.
On “A Life for Revenge,” “Eternity” and “From Hell,” the new voice gives the work a different shading. The five-part epic “Attila” suite strongly conveys the band’s ambition. Songs like “Philip, The Second” and “Cyrano of Bergerac” breathe the band’s full playing too. Amid the crisis of central members’ departure, they protected its core. It is an important restarting work that took a new step within change.
