Liner Notes
Loud Minority is the debut by Crazy Lixx, formed in Malmö, Sweden in 2002. Centered on vocalist Danny Rexon and playing 80s-style glam/sleaze rock, they emerged as part of the "New Wave of Swedish Sleaze." This album was released on the local indie label Swedmetal. The band's name comes from a toy guitar Rexon had as a child. The original guitarist was Vic Zino.
Built on youthful drive and big hooks, dusty yet lively hard rock reminiscent of Mötley Crüe and Skid Row unfolds throughout. From the openers "Hell or High Water" and "Dr. Hollywood" to the closing ballad "The Gamble," straight-ahead songs line up. Production was handled by Chris Laney, and it was recorded at Polar Studios in Stockholm. A powerful first step, highly regarded on the scene despite its limited distribution. It was voted the No. 3 album of 2007 in Sleaze Rock's readers' poll, earning a solid underground reputation.
