LINER NOTES
LANGUAGE
It was released on 22 October 2021 on Nuclear Blast, produced by Scott Atkins and recorded at Grindstone Studios between February and October 2020 — a record made in the year the world stopped.
It is the only Cradle of Filth album with the keyboard player and female vocalist Anabelle Iratni, and the last with the guitarist Richard Shaw. Doug Bradley, Pinhead in the Hellraiser films, narrates two tracks; it is his sixth appearance on a Cradle of Filth release and his first since Evermore Darkly in 2011.
The subject is what the title says. Extinction and the end of things run through the whole of it. The standard release holds twelve songs and 56 minutes 40 seconds; the deluxe edition adds "Sisters of the Mist" and "Unleash the Hellion" for fourteen.
