Liner Notes
Reach for the Sky turns Blindman’s live-bred unity as a newer lineup into a precise tenth studio album. Tatsuya Nakamura’s guitar work is technically detailed without losing songfulness, and the tight rhythm section helps draw classic hard-rock appeal in a contemporary outline. The music has complexity, yet it never leaves the listener behind; each arrangement finds its way naturally toward a broad, rising melody.
The title track and the rest of the record share a strong balance of sharp riffs and open choruses. Even the version of The Crystals’ “Da Doo Ron Ron” becomes more than a surprise cover, transformed into a rock number with the band’s own tone and discipline. Keyboards and solo passages support the lift of each scene without interrupting the flow. Repeated listening makes clear that the musicians are not competing for attention; they are breathing together to make the vocals and melodies land hardest. Reach for the Sky is a polished record of skill, passion and collective focus.
