HERALDIC DEVICE

Heraldic Device is Anthem's thirteenth studio album, released on 6 July 2011 by Victor Entertainment as VICP-64961. It is the sixth album since Seven Hills in 2001 and the last studio record by the line-up of Naoto Shibata, Akio Shimizu, Eizo Sakamoto and Hirotsugu Homma, four men who worked together without a change for eleven years and who kept proving, on record and on the road, that this was a working band rather than a reunion. The album runs a little under forty-five minutes. It opens with "The Sign" and presses on through "Contagious", "Go!" and "Blind Alley"; "Code Of The Silence" is an instrumental, and "Remains" and "Living Proof" close the record. Victor made an official music video for "The Sign". This was the band's last album for the label: from Burning Oath onwards they recorded for Universal Music Japan.
