BLACK EMPIRE

Black Empire is Anthem's twelfth studio album, released on 29 October 2008 by Victor Entertainment as VICP-64529. It runs a little under forty-six minutes. "Heat Of The Night" preceded it as a single on 1 October 2008. The album opens with its title track, which became a fixture of the band's sets; it was re-recorded in English for Nucleus in 2019, and official videos of that version were released by both Nuclear Blast and Ward Records. The second half holds "Walk Through The Night", "Pilgrim" and "Awake", the last of these another song Nucleus revisited. The band's own channel has posted live footage of "Pilgrim" from Kawasaki on 26 November 2022 and of "Telling You" from Saitama on 1 October 2016, which says something about how long the songs from this period have stayed in the set.
