BURNING OATH

Burning Oath is Anthem's fourteenth studio album, released on 24 October 2012 as UICN-1021. After eleven years with an unchanged line-up the band moved labels in search of firmer footing, and this was their first record for Universal Music Japan. Naoto Shibata produced it. Isamu Tamaru, then a guest, plays drums on every track but one: Hirotsugu Homma had not left at that point, but an earlier accident had left him unable to recover fully to the standard Anthem's music asks for, and he departed later. "Evil One" appeared as a single on 26 September 2012 and opens the album, which runs a little over forty-seven minutes and goes on through "Unbroken Sign", "Overture" and "On And On". An official music video and a teaser were made for "Evil One". The two-disc compilation Ultimate Best Of Nexus Years, drawn from the King Records years, came out on the same day.
