Liner Notes
Massive Addictive is the third album, crossing multiple vocals, electronic texture and heavy guitar at high speed. Released in October 2014. Andy Solveström left the previous year, and this is the first album with Henrik Englund of Scarpoint taking over the growls. It was recorded at the same Hansen Studios in Denmark under Jacob Hansen's production. Coming just a year after the last record, the band's momentum hadn't faded.
The melodies open poppily, the riffs are metal-hard, and the contrast between songs leaves a fierce impression. There are a lot of notes, but the aim is clear. The advance single “Drop Dead Cynical” reached No. 27 on US Mainstream Rock — the band's only entry on that chart. From “Trinity,” themed on the three singers, to “Digital World,” which critiques digital society, and the closing “Exhale,” memorable hooks and a headlong drive vividly draw the meeting point of modern metal and pop sensibility. It also charted properly in Germany and the US for the first time, widening their field considerably.
