Liner Notes
For We Are Many is the fifth album, tightly combining sharp riffs, heavy breakdowns and singable choruses. Released in October 2010, with Adam Dutkiewicz producing for the third time. It's also the first ATR album made with the same lineup as its predecessor — a stability that would hold through 2015. The formal styling is ...For We Are Many.
The switching between aggressive vocals and clean parts draws each song's tension and release clearly. It keeps the heaviness while the skill of building toward the chorus shines — a metalcore record. From the intro “Now Let Them Tremble” it pours into the title track, and “Hold On,” “The Last Time” and “The Waiting One” all reached the Mainstream Rock top ten; “The Waiting One” in particular climbed to No. 7. Selling 29,000 in its first week, it cracked No. 10 on the Billboard 200 and became one of their most commercially successful records. Tours with Hatebreed and Five Finger Death Punch were a big tailwind. Lyrics about solidarity and defiance also form the record's core.
