No Limits

No Limits is a straight-ahead heavy-metal record on which U.D.O. puts steel-like riffs, forceful rhythm and Udo Dirkschneider’s distinctive voice to the front. It sharpens the momentum recovered on the comeback Solid into something more assured. Rather than adding decoration, it carefully tempers the straight-ahead drive and hooks of the songs. From the drive of the title track “No Limits” and the aggression of “Freelance Man” to the weight of “Way of Life” and the speed of “With a Vengeance,” every song carries a hard-edged hook, and a cover of the Accept classic “I’m a Rebel” makes Udo’s roots felt anew.
